We found this wing feather stuck in the ever encroaching marsh grass on our walk with the dog. It struck me as kind of lonely left behind by the bird.
The marsh grass is becoming something of a problem along our coastline, Parkgate, Wirral is situated on the coastline of the River Dee, the adjoining 100 square kilometres of salt marsh is continuing its journey along our coast. The council used to remove it but now it has such a hold on our beach they have let it flourish and we have large patches of marsh where there used to be beautiful sand.
