Description
Fort Perch Rock is a former defence installation situated at the mouth of Liverpool Bay in New Brighton. Built in the 1820s to defend the Port of Liverpool, its function has since changed from defensive, to tourist attraction and museum. This view is from the slipway at Marine Point looking down the promenade. The sea was strong and the waves high on this particular day, leaving me with many stunning images. Further to the left but not in this image is Fort Perch lighthouse which also features extensively in my work.
