New Brighton lighthouse at Fort Perch is, some say, the most photographed part of the Wirral peninsula, if you have any kind of camera you are bound to have taken a photograph of it but who can resist such a wonderful landmark. Every day you are gifted a different sight, the light changes so quickly you cant help but photograph the scene. This day we had quite a stormy sea, it was quite windy and you could feel the spray on your face, the sun broke through the clouds at just the right time for me to catch the light on the sea illuminating the lighthouse.
I am Karen, i live on the Wirral in the North West of England. I am a wife and mother, i am a Photographer. I studied art and loved photography, it has now become a way of life. I am lucky to be able to spend a lot of time with my camera and it has brought me success, exhibitions and awards but it has ultimately brought me peace. I am enthralled by light and use my camera to capture that moment of softness or anger, new beginnings or days end, that emotional impact of the light at a given moment on the landscape. I keep going back to the sea and will spend hours waiting so i can make you feel what i feel when i capture a sunrise or a rainy day, a high sea or a calm moon lite night. You will often see me, my camera and trusty tripod...
